Biography Marcos Efron

Award-winning writer/director Marcos Efron was born in Buenos Aires, Argentina, and raised in Houston, Texas. After earning a degree in finance from the University of Texas at Austin, Efron worked as an investment banker in New York and Miami. After a couple of years of 100-hour weeks crunching numbers, he chose to tackle more creative endeavors and relocated to Los Angeles, where he still (happily) works 100-hour weeks to pursue a career as a filmmaker. In addition to Common Practice, Efron has written and directed two other short films and boasts an impressive and growing collection of music videos.
